POLLEN fall flow coming on strong,Honey Bees getting Bee Pollen from autumn flowers,weeds.Goldenrod Bee pollen soon

Fall Pollen coming in strong.No goldenrod here yet but lots other.I saw goldenrod in full bloom in Camilla GA last week Sept,6.
Notice the color variation in side by side hives from different sources.Click on picture to see enlargement and colors.
With all the rain I expect a great Fall flow.bee Honey bees getting aster Bee Pollen and some yellow weed I don't know. I'll be trapping Bee Pollen up till first frost then pull the Pollen traps.

This is a beekeeping video I did to show my beehive hand hold changes.Deepening beveling up 15% and making the hand hold wider really helps when lugging an 85 pound deep honey super around the bee yard.watch then try on a few of your boxes to see the improvement for GAbeekeeping.

I also have some of my older untreated but redone hand hold boxes for sale here as I switch to all treated boxes. The used boxes are in the $6,$7,$8 range or $5 for all.

A new virgin queen just emerged along with 8 others. I had queen cells ready to hatch but was an hour late.
Nine hatched and I saved 8. One was stung to death by a sister.Listen closely to hear piping noise.

New queen bees are nervous like this and run around till mated. they are only Virgins for a few days so these type views are seldom seen. It's also haed to spot a virgin because she resembles the worker honey bees size.
